Rojo Motors: Jagxf Challenge

So I promised a post that would be way more in line with the boys and their toys, and stumbled upon this very interesting article on Wheels24 concerning the Jag xf which is set to take a test run from Jozi to Durbs on a single tank of fuel. This economy challenge is being termed as an attempt to prove the fuel efficiency of their new 2.2 litre diesel engine... this stretch spanning 1 242KM from Pretoria to Durban beachfront and back, really seems to be pushing it, yet wit the claimed fuel efficiency of 5 litres per 100km i actually am looking forward to the outcome of this match up. we know that the struggling auto maker does not exactly have the best of markets in the South African market which is dominated by a mirage of German and Japanese auto makers, but with fuel prices looking the way they are i hope they do in fact succeed!

With the two cars set to run the 1200km+ distance (One professional and the other a civilian/"normal" drivers), the only thought is that I hope they get it right because i sure would not like to be stuck without fuel on the N3 highway!
