Sundays Lunchdays

Sunday Lunch the Traditional Way
So this weekend was not the greatest of weekends, BUT ended up pretty awesome as I got to spend Sunday the traditional way... with family. Sunday lunch is quite the deal at in our family, with half of it being spent in the kitchen either cooking or doing the mountain of dishes, and the other half, gathered around fully decked out tables. The intended menu starts off basic but once all the inner "chef" steps out it becomes an elaborate buffet of sorts. Yesterday included a starter of Breyani, mains of two types of chicken, roast and smoked, as well as roasted leg of lamb with all the trimmings (Roast potatoes, yellow rice, pumpkin mousse and more), with a dessert of baked bread pudding and Malva pudding both served with custard. It was such a feast that I found this South African blog, Cook Sisters which showcases the South African version of a traditional Sunday Lunch go and check it out :)
