After yesterdays news of an impending Zara Launch in V&A, Edcon and Busby have announce a partnership in bringing Topshop to South Africa. This British invasion, associated with brands such as Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins and Burton, will be headed by Two stand alone stores and later distribution in Edgars stores (as we have seen with the likes of Sunglass Hut). Top Shop has been around for 48 years and has provided our Brit counterparts with High Street Uber Fashionable Shoes, Make-up, Clothes and Accessories for the everyday kind of budget.
No doubt their presence will be highly anticipated as the launch is planned for November of this year and will coincide with their collaborations with non other thane the Poker Face singer, Lady Gaga. Other highly successful celeb collaborations include the model Kate Moss in 2007. This launch is not only limited to the ladies but will also have something for the boys as Topman joins ranks. I cant wait to see what they have in time for our summer season!
